When I first started a blog about “writing and yoga,” I didn’t quite realize that blogging itself would be both of those things. That it would be both creative like fiction writing and a play of effort and letting go like in yoga practice.
Every time I write something to post, I find myself going deeper and deeper and pulling out more and more strands of truth about the interconnectedness of writing life and yoga practice.
It’s the same process in fiction– going deeper and deeper into the characters and the story and the plot and the symbols. There’s always more to uncover, always more ways to shape and ultimately read one work of writing. And of course yoga is famously endless for its interpretations and implications for all facets of life.
So blogging is literally the same process as writing fiction and delving into yoga asana, meditation and philosophy. Who knew? And yet it’s so obvious, because this is the point of “living our yoga out loud in the world.”
It’s writing, it’s blogging, it’s all things. This tangent just happens to explain the point I’m trying to make— this stuff of life is a bottomless well. There’s always more to unravel that drives me deeper and further.
Where are you finding your bottomless well in daily life? And does this even make sense to you out there?
